Hmmmm...We've come far, but NOT that far

 sO for some reason I'm kinda out of the loop on the latest music videos -- I guess I got lost somewhere between Soulja Boy Tellin' Em and the Ricky of the Bobby -- but this week I was catching up with a health dose of the FAB VH1 Soul when I saw something quite disturbing! The new Ciara vid (attached below in case you haven't peeped it yet)...

NOW ladies! I know we are fabulous and powerful and we can take charge of our sexuality among so many other things, but chicas come on! We have to be more conscious of our responsibility to the next generation. Little girls love Ciara! Let's show them "power" in other ways!

PLUS -- It is soOo not cute for (and YES I'm about to take it there) any Black woman to allow a white man (as much as we love JT) to pull her or walk her around on a leash like a dog/animal. SMH for real!

Herstory tells us that the Black woman has been often portrayed as over sexed and secretly in love with Mass'ah and not at all bothered by any of the times he snuck into the slave quarters and raped her or her daughters -- The whole Jezebel Stereotype that concludes that Black women are lascivious by nature. 

I'm just saying...Ciara: I don't approve! Whatever happened to the Ci Ci we all loved? With hot beats, crazy dance routines, clothes on and Goodies intact!
