Manager of Benefits Accounting role with one of our global advertising clients. The role is located in
Some Key responsibilities include:
· This position has overall responsibility for technical accounting matters associated with our pension, post retirement healthcare and other post employment benefit plans.
· Responsibilities include maintaining the work papers and preparing the financial statements for our domestic qualified benefit plan programs, as well as coordinating 10-K and 10-Q disclosure for all of our world-wide plans.
· Position will work directly with domestic and international agencies and the planning group to develop appropriate forecasts and allocations across the various entities and establish a process to implement FAS 157 for 2009 year-end disclosures.
· Position will work directly with our outside actuarial firms regarding the determination of our FAS 87, 158, 106 and 112 valuations and FAS 132 disclosures;
· Will work closely with auditors during year-end benefit plan audits;
· Will work closely with Corporate Treasury and Human Resource departments on matters related to plan administration;
· Will work closely with Corporate External Reporting group on quarterly and year-end disclosure;
Requirements include:
· Accounting degree and CPA
· 5 – 7 years experience, including 2 – 4 years Public accounting experience;
· Good work ethic
· Exposure to technical accounting matters and familiarity with benefit plan accounting, FAS87, 158, 106, and 112, actuarial valuations and disclosures;
· Good technical PC skills – Excel a must, Hyperion and SAP a plus and is an immediate need. Reporting directly into the Director of Accounting, the ideal candidate will be responsible for or technical accounting matters associated with our benefit plans; including pension, post retirement healthcare, active health and other benefit plans.
Salary is flexible but is ideally targeted to fall within the 90-120K range.

UPenn seeks to identify talented Black male undergraduates who are entering their junior year for participation in a
The school will select 10 Black male juniors and cover all their travel expenses, lodging, and meals. During their visit to our campus, the selected scholars will learn more about applying to and succeeding in graduate school; hear about the excellent research of our faculty; interact with our Black male graduate students and alumni; and tour
Lastly, Academy Scholars who apply for Fall 2011 admission to a Ph.D. Program at UPenn's GSE will receive an application fee waiver. That deadline is December 1, 2010
Because a master’s degree is not required for admission to Ph.D. programs at Penn GSE, the goal is to enroll as many of the Academy participants as possible in doctoral programs in Fall 2011, the semester after completion of their undergraduate degrees.
