BET'S MODEL CITY ART SHOWCASE: EVENTS ON THE AVE

Avenue Pink attended an art showcase in the Soho area of NYC featuring works from a cast member of the new BET reality series Model City. It premieres tomorrow night on CENTRIC, the channel created last fall from the Merge of VH1 Soul and BET J. The event definitely proved that these young men have more to offer than just good looks. "Model City follows the lives of four Black and Latino male models of RED Model Management-NY, as they work to make a name for themselves while dealing with the various challenges of "making it" in the female-dominated modeling industry. Models Wendell, Ibrahim, Nelson, and Zeric grant viewers exclusive access into their fast-paced lives, and their never-ending 24/7 grind to become fashion's elite faces."


Ibrahim was model drawing with the red shirt. He and a friend of the cast members conducted a live drawing while African Drummers built up the momentum and kept the crowd dancing. Even with almost forty people watching while they worked, the pieces came out very well!
