Hidden Treasures: GREAT FIND; "Where there's a DEAL...there's a WAY!"

Hey Hey Hey! It's ya girl Bay! Every week I'm going to try and bring all of you fabulous, flyy, and fearless guys and gyals a great new hidden treasure! Whether it be a restaurant hidden in an alley of the East Village, a deal that's just TOO fab to pass up, or a small boutique that imports oils straight from Morocco...who knows what I'll find. After all...I AM the PLANET BLASTER(follow me on Twittttttteeerrr! ♬♩♬Don't front like you don't know the song♬♩♬)

THIS WEEK'S FIND!
Hey F3s! This week I'd like to share with you a few of my deal BUSTER sites! I use these sites regularly to live fabulously on a
budget.

GroupOn negotiates huge discounts on popular local goods, services and cultural events. Then they offer the deals to thousands of subscribers in a free daily email. The deals are activated only when a minimum number of people agree to buy. So subscribers get a great deal and the business gets a ton of new customers. Win-win. More than just a deal site, Groupon is a city guide, a social tool and the best way to experience your city without paying full price.(GroupOn.com) I use this site daily and havepurchased a spa deal that was worth $145 for only $45! This is also a great idea for gifts especially with the holidays coming up. I recently purchased a photo book which I will be giving someone for Christmas!

Tip: Subscribe to more than one city, if you're a jet setter like myself, you'll soon come to appreciate the deals offered in multiple cities you may travel to. It also helps to plan your next getaway!

LivingSocial offers one fantastic deal every day with discounts of up to 90% at local restaurants, bars, spas, theaters, and more. (LivingSocial.com) LivingSocial is very similar to GroupOn but I've found that the businesses that offer deals on LivingSocial are slightly geared towards services provided in the home and social activities.

Example of LivingSocial deals!

GoldStar is another one of my personal favorites that I have used several times. GoldStar sends you a weekly newsletter highlighting discounted or free events in your city. The first time I used GoldStar was for one of my friend's birthday. She wanted to go on a boat but didn't think it would be feasible. My moto"Where there's a deal there's a way!" We ended up partying the night away on Tropicana Cruises for free! (Well not completely, we had to pay the $4.50 service fee) I used GoldStar again when an old friend came to town to visit. We sailed around the Hudson River on a yacht for only $13 a ticket. I adore this site and highly recommend it!

JETSETTER is for the luxury explorer. This site offers unbeliever deals on some of the most exotic and exclusive destinations and adventures in the world. From an Indian tiger adventure in the jungle to taking a stroll on the picturesque Amalfi coast in Italy. JETSETTER offers it all.

Rue La La is... an exclusive, invitation-only online destination where Members discover premier-brand, private sale Boutiques, each open for just a brief window of time. Their focus is a well-edited collection of sought-after offerings from the best brand names in the world - combined with helpful service.Membership is free. It's also invitation-only. Members shape the community by inviting new Members - and getting a $10 Rue La La Credit when each new friend places their first order. (Ruelala.com)

  1. I. Love. Groupon!
I'm also signed up for LivingSocial (and thedealist). My inbox is full of savings :-) But I have them all sent to a specific e-mail address so that I'm not bombarded by the daily updates unless I'm the mood to browse through them. They really do help you have fun experiences for less.
